Students in Advanced Ag Mechanics & Metals class have completed construction on items that will soon be used in the middle/high school outdoor classroom. This initiative is made possible with a grant from the Arkansas Game & Fish. Intro to Engineering students are developing blueprints for this ongoing project, that will be reviewed by ICC 5th graders as part of their participation in the Great Arkansas Cleanup event.

Save those glasses! Send them to school for collection by Mrs. Courtney in the STEM lab. We would love to send in as many glasses as possible for use during the next total eclipse.

We are thrilled to share that Izard County School District was chosen as THE feature school from the state of Arkansas, in this Mobile Makerspace film! ICC 5th and 6th grade students were able to experience the Mobile Makerspace visit, thanks to funding provided by The Simon's Foundation. (link to video below) A note from the producer: "Stories From The Path" highlights the science initiatives of the Simons Foundation partner organizations in the path of the 2024 total solar eclipse, telling the stories of this moment of science, culture, and community. In Arkansas, we'll be featuring the work of the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub's Mobile Makerspace, which will be taking its eclipse-centered curriculum to rural schools across Arkansas with their Mobile Makerspace. The video will feature the Izard County Consolidated school and surrounding community as a backdrop to this work.
