NOTICE TO PARENTS
Izard County Consolidated School District
According to state and federal guidelines, student records from the special education and speech therapy program should be destroyed five years after the student was dismissed, graduated, dropped or found ineligible. You have the right to review and request copies of these records before they are destroyed. Your child also has the right to review these records if he/she is eighteen years old or older. If you wish to see these records, please call the Special Education Director’s office at 870-322-8412 by September 1, 2023. Records will be available at the Special Education Director’s office at Izard County Consolidated Elementary in Violet Hill, AR beginning September 15, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Records for students who left the program prior to or during the 2018-2019 school year will be destroyed on October 1, 2023.
THESE RECORDS ARE NOT YOUR CHILD’S PERMANENT SCHOOL RECORDS. THEY ARE ONLY SPECIAL EDUCATION DUE PROCESSFORMS AND RECORDS.
