The Izard County Cougars won the Class 3A/2A/1A State Bowling Runner-up trophy at the Conway Family Bowling Center in Conway on February 14. The Cougars score of 3,511 pins was 26 pins ahead of third place Norfork (3,485) and 98 pins behind state champion Mayflower (3,609). The Cougars, the East Conference champion, outscored Norfork 185-140 in the last Baker's game to overcome a 19 pin deficit for the state runner-up trophy. to Norfork before the last game. The Cougars were led by All State and All Conference performer, Drake Gallion, with a 538 series with a high game of 186, Casey Hall with a 515 series and a high game of 184, and All Conference performer, Cody Workman, with a 503 series and a high game of 189.
