The Cougars score of 3,511 pins was 26 pins ahead of third place Norfork (3,485) and 98 pins behind state champion Mayflower (3,609). The Cougars, the East Conference champion, outscored Norfork 185-140 in the last Baker's game to overcome a 19 pin deficit for the state runner-up trophy. to Norfork before the last game.
