Izard County High School agriculture students in Mr. Neal’s Agricultural metals class were recently invited to tour the Intimidator plant located in Batesville. Intimidator Employee Robert Stephens had issued the class the invitation to tour the plant. Stephens is an ICC graduate who had taken the Agricultural Metals class in high school and after graduation he had attended the Tulsa Welding School in Oklahoma where he had received his welding certification. The ICC students started the tour where the metal entered the facility and this allowed then to see first-hand the new technologies of metal fabrication equipment and every step of the process until they completed product testing before shipment. The students were also shown the types of welds the plant required to pass their welding test for employment. The students were very impressed by the Intimidator tour and it was definitely a learning experience for them.
